This is Terbium Gallium Garnet, an exotic material grown for high-end crystal tech. It's one of the only gems you can pick up with a magnet. And that's not even the weirdest thing about it. When it's exposed to a magnetic field, any light that passes through it gets rotated. You can see the effect by putting one between two polarizing filters and t
